The polished peculiarity

Zindagi Gulzar Hai was not just a soap opera rather a quest of two people that captivated our souls for life.

Zindagi bahut si ajeeb baaton ka ek majmuan hai .. ajeeb baatein, itefaqat, maujaze.

Baaz dafa samajh nahi aati, agar isko ek jumle mein define karna pade, to woh kya hoga?

Zindagi Gulzar hai.

Jaise Zaroon usko kahta hai.

Although I must admit that I watch ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’ like a besotted idiot with an idiotic grin on my face but that’s not because of the good looking actors that the drama had to offer; rather my love for the series is more about the real and robust story line, raw yet radiant characters, resounding set of dialogues and a rapturous cast that resulted into most reflective drama of all time.

It has been more than two years since I ran into the lives of Kashaf Murtaza and Zaroon Junaid and quite abstractedly they have become a small yet inseparable part of mine.

Yes, the drama was about two completely different people falling in love and living happily ever after. But the way their story was portrayed made all the difference.  The story shows the journey of how Kashaf and Zaroon grew among themselves and learned to live and love life better.

Kashaf, the female protagonist played brilliantly by Sanam Saeed is shown having faced a rough life and hence she hated her life. She could never believe that good things might happen to her, she was disgusted with the almighty for having made the world so tough for her, she also had a cliched perception about the rich and the elite.

Zindagi ek bohot bara masla hai itna bara masla ke us ko hal karte karte insan khatam ho jata hai. Magar yeh hal nahi hota. Kamazkam mere jaise log to issse hal nahi kar pate. Pata nahi Allah ne kya soch kar dunya banhi he!

-Kashaf

On the other side, Zaroon Junaid, the male protagonist of the story, played by Fawad Khan is a rich, insouciant and studious yet ignorant guy. He is an optimist and his perception towards female independence in society made Kashaf call him a male chauvinist.  Despite the family problems that he struggled with, he loved his life.

Zindagi! kya khoobsurat cheez hai. Har din naya, surprises , acheivments , ups & downs!

-Zaroon

Sanam Saeed marvelously portrayed a strong-minded, gritty person communicating the feeling of a tired soul with so much ease and realness. And no words could define how flawless Fawad acted in this drama showcasing his transition from being a rich-spoilt brat to becoming a responsible brother, loving husband,  and a caring son.

The awkward baffling romance between Kashaf and Zaroon, the self-talks and the diary writing; everything was pure bliss.

To be honest, I will never be able to specify what was the best thing about this series. I was extremely eager to praise this act of brilliance since last two years only for realizing today that the supremacy of the drama is far beyond what these words could define.

Zindagi Gulzar Hai is the perfect essence of endowment and is infectious. Once you fall for it, you can never have enough of it.

I believe love, laughter and a thought spared for peace can overcome all the differences in the world.
