What happens after

The world takes you away

There I see you go again

They expect us to behave, look gay

Sky loses azure and it rains

The warmth of your lips still lingers on mine

As the night of delusion ends

They cursed our bond, so pure and benign

Our yearning undressed frames effortlessly transcend

As they question your conscience

Your heart still savours last night’s afterglow

They tried cleaning you with the stinging water

But the pleasure of your flesh caressed, was all you did know

They offer you different apparel

You only remember getting disrobed

To justify our disunion, they shout, they yell

Endless days pass, the memories still remain ungoaded

Norms and custom, society did bestow

You were considered wrong and tainted

But your imprecise state of mind refused to grow

As your body falling over mine seemed so sainted

They tested you to burns and fires

The vehemence of the flames took your heart back to the night

Neither the longing died nor the desires

The embrace of that perennial nightfall still binds us tight.

I believe love, laughter and a thought spared for peace can overcome all the differences in the world.
