It doesn’t have to be a murder, death or some accident as big as a nuclear explosion; at times small incidents affect our human minds in an impactful way.
It doesn’t matter whether we were individually involved in the incident we still experience some sort of emotional response and that’s quite natural.
But any situation that leaves us with a feeling of an overwhelmed state of mind and isolated persona can be traumatic, even if at times it doesn’t necessitate physical harm.
Situational depression is a real thing.
It is much more than just grieving and subsequently trying to recover or recovering from the trauma.
And just because you can’t see someone in pain that does not mean that it is okay to be mean.
Lookout for the distressed people, reach out to them, listen, talk, help and stop being ignorant if not anything else.
Sharing a post or writing about an issue might not make a direct impact on someone’s life but I hope it will inspire people to read and get aware about the so called uncool illnesses like, ‘depression’, ‘anxiety’, ‘social anxiety’, etc.
